Me and Nikita Nesterenko have sent a letter to the owner of the copyright for music produced by Kid Ink. We have asked if it is possible for us to use the song Money and the Power in our music video. Unfortunately we received no answer and have to assume that we are permitted to use it.
We also asked a permission to film within the Kent College territory. We were allowed to do this as the school had no problems with us doing our coursework.
We also asked the owner of the shop if we could film there and obviously bought the candy Dmitry "stole". In this case negotiations of that kind play a great role because if we didn't ask for a permission to film in a shop then the owner could have called the police and we would have had problems.

The recording copyright lasts for 50 years from the moment of recording, also if the singer or the artist that wrote this song is dead than the copyright would be removed. Whenever you want to use someones song in a film or in any other media product you are required to ask for a permission to use the song or a composition. If you do not, than the owner of the copyright is able to sue you for copying the product that he or she owns.
