Logging rushes and creating an edit decision list P4 (a)




When we finished all our filming we copied it on our laptops. An important thing in editing is to rename all the shot that we have taken to make it easier to find them. Here is an example of renaming a shot.





Than we created logging rushes for my film opening. It lists all the shots that are taken and helped to follow the storyboard and shows what pieces of the shots that we have taken are going to be used in our sequence. For example the second shot "10" will be 8 seconds long. The graph description tells what exactly is going to be in the shot. And the graph scene states the scene for that this shot belongs.

Than when the planning is over I have to set my Premiere Pro Project. Below you can see the settings for the Adobe Premiere Pro editing software used HDV 1080p with 24 frames per second and aspect ration 16:9.




Here is a screenshot of project set. As you can see all the shots in the shotlist are named.
