Below you can the the working space where I put my videoclips. It is also called a timeline. As you can see the clips are put in the order like in the shot list. You can also see on this screenshot that the red line in a time line is put in the shot "guys walking down the street" and on the right screen there is a footage where they are walking on the street, so the name of the shot reflects what is happening in the shot.
Here is another shot where Dmitry is walks in the store and the red timeline is set on this shot. The right screen reflects this.
Continuity editing is shown below as in the first shot Dmitry enters the store from the street and on the next shot he is filmed from the inside of the store. So this is an example of continuity editing.
Than the next shot shows Dmitry stealing from the shop.
Than Dmitry runs out of the store with candies that he have stolen.
After looking at this sequence of shots I realised that yes I have followed the storyboard but the shots are too long and the audience might get bored. So when I was editing the video I tried to put as many cuts as I could to entertain the audience.
When editing my film opening I have used a number of useful tools in Premiere Pro.
The first tool was Selection Tool
it is represented by an arrow. Using this tool I was able to choose clips and then move them by holding the left button of the computer mouse. This made it easier to place clips within the working area because I was able to move them on other lines.
Also I have used Razor Tool to cut clips. To cut a clip I had to choose this tool on a tool panel and then click at the place on the clip where I wanted it to be cut. This allowed me to cut clips to then delete the pieces I didn't want to have in my film opening. Also it is a useful tool when you want to apply effect on one part of the clip but not on another. Using Razor Tool you can cut this clip into two clips and apply an effect on the clip you want to.
